Creating communities on the coalfields
When it comes to property PR, we like to think we work harder than most. So when The Homes and Communities Agency asked us to launch a series of regeneration projects (including a whole town!) as part of the National Coalfields Programme, we grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
From VIP attendance (John Prescott and Housing Minister John Healey no less) to family entertainment, we left no stone unturned to make sure each launch went smoothly. Liaising with key stakeholders in each area, we managed every aspect of launch events at Grimethorpe, Frickley Country Park in Wakefield and Rabbit Ings Country Park in Royston. And, of course, our media relations expertise made sure the press were there to spread the word.
Thanks to our activity, awareness of the National Coalfields Programme was raised with column inches in regional and trade press, local people saw the results of regeneration for themselves and communities were united with nothing but positive feedback. A good result!
