STOVES GENUS

Just a few years back, we were briefed to launch Stoves revolutionary new oven – Genus, a state of the art built in cooker that can cut roasting and baking times by half. This wasn’t an easy thing for the press or public to grasp – we weren’t talking microwave meals, just home cooked food, only faster - much faster.

To tantalise the trade, we laid on lunch at the Savoy and to banish the risk of microwave mix ups we commissioned a series of surveys looking at eating habits of years gone by.

All of this made sure that we cooked up a storm for our contented client. In fact, 100% of our trade titles turned out to The Savoy – each writing favourable follow ups on our new concept cooker. We also delivered 125 national consumer hits, 25 regional radio interviews and even had Philip and Fern discussing Genus live on ITV 1.

Thanks to all this, Genus was soon voted “Product of the Year” by “Get Connected”. It won a Gold Award from House Beautiful for, “Appliance Innovation of The Year” and it was shortlisted at the “Design Week Awards 2006. ”  Now that’s thought for food.
