Everyone can Tweet, but it’s only really worth bothering if people are listening, or rather the people that matter are listening. And to get their attention there is no short cut. You have to provide useful, interesting, engaging content. And you don’t just talk – you listen.
That’s what we do. We have conversations on behalf of our clients with, and about, the people that count.
We understand that it’s called social media for a reason. And that’s why we love it. Done well, it cuts out the middle man and lets brands talk direct to their customer base and inspire and retain them as never before. And “done well” is exactly what we do – and could do for you.
Planning a Social Media Strategy
- Register your feeds before someone else does.
- Make sure you have all of the log in details. If your assistant leaves and takes the passwords with her, you’ll spend a lot of time you don’t have trying to sort the mess out.
- Decide your objectives. Sounds obvious but plenty of businesses don’t bother.
- Set targets. You’ll know if it’s working then.
- Agree your policies. What are the no no’s?
- Find your influencers. What social networks are they on and how are they using them?
- Listen and learn.
- Plan your activity using the 80:20 rule (80% of content should be planned / 20% should be reactive or spontaneous).
- Experiment with different platforms like Tweetdeck and Hootsuite.
- Measure. Evaluate. Refine.
And if it all gets too much. Call us! We offer the complete range of social media services and are happy to train you up if you haven’t got the budget to outsource.
