BSS’s core business is the supply and distribution of pipes – 6 metre lengths of pipe in fact. In 2007, they invested in a brand new, purpose-built distribution centre and a new fleet of lorries to guarantee a 24 to 48 hour turn around on orders – something that no one else in the industry had ever done before. They needed a PR agency that could match their investment and help them to deliver the difference.
To drive the message home we dispatched BSS branded toy lorries to our key journalist contacts to promote the big launch event. We then stepped up a gear with press releases and invites to the big BSS launch.
This soon had us motoring and in the run up to the launch we had set up two editor site visits, one telephone interview and drafted copy for a further title, covering off each industry sector. Within one month of the launch we had set up a “Truck Load” more column inches including three articles in the local papers, one in the region’s leading business magazine and two in the top selling warehousing and distribution titles. As far as the client was concerned, we had more than delivered.
