Bosch Rexroth: an Engineering PR Case Study
Willoughby PR provides both traditional engineering PR and digital PR support to Bosch Rexroth, the world's leading manufacturers of drive and control equipment, in the UK market. For traditional PR, our strategy has been to cut across traditional product silos and instead focus upon specific solutions for the key issues that are being faced by different industrial sectors, such as renewables, food processing, automotive, materials handling and mobile hydraulics. Tactically we have focussed upon key customer issues including Tier 4 Final legislation; adaptive welding systems and their advantages in comparison to traditional spot welding techniques; non-contact transfer in the food industry; the potential for remanufacturing of end-of-life drive and control equipment and the problems of ice build-up on wind turbine blades.
For the digital PR campaign we have completed a comprehensive audit of the Bosch Rexroth UK site, put in place a social media strategy to enhance search engine optimisation and launched a highly successful Pay-Per-Click campaign. WPR's social media expertise has proved so successful for Bosch Rexroth that we have now been engaged to develop a social media strategy for Bosch across the UK.
